The Twenty-Sixth International Conference on Knowledge, Culture, and Change in Organizations convenes scholars and practitioners exploring how organizations evolve in times of volatility, complexity, and systemic transition.
Hosted in Copenhagen at Thoravej 29 and chaired by Christian Bason, the conference brings together an international research network committed to understanding how knowledge, culture, and institutional design shape the future of organizations and their societal impact.
2026 Special Focus
Organization in Uncertain Worlds
At a time marked by disruption, overlapping crises, and shifting imaginaries, the 2026 edition invites contributions that explore how organizations sense, adapt, and redesign themselves in uncertain environments.
Annual Themes
Theme 1: Organizational Knowledge
How knowledge is created, shared, governed, and contested within and across organizations.
Theme 2: Institutional Structures
The evolution of governance systems, norms, and regulatory frameworks.
Theme 3: Publics and Collectivities
The relationship between organizations, communities, and broader publics.
Theme 4: Organizational Design
New models of structure, strategy, leadership, and coordination.

The Organization Studies Research Network builds an epistemic community that bridges disciplinary, geographic, and cultural boundaries. The network explores how organizations function as knowledge systems, cultural actors, and agents of change within wider social transformation.
