Democratising Futures (Futurists byStudents)

  • Studenterhuset 52 Købmagergade København, 1150 Denmark (map)

Who actually gets to shape the future? And who is too often left out of the conversation?

In two weeks, Futurists byStudents invites you to a networking event on Democratising futures, a theme that explores who gets to work with futures, whose futures are explored, and how we can make futures thinking more inclusive.

📅 February 4 2026
🕠 17:30–20:00
📍 Studenterhuset

Programme:
• 17:30–18:00: Welcome & visit from Copenhagen Institute for Future Studies
• 18:00–18:45: Democratising futures with Mathias Behn Bjørnhof, Founder & Director of ANTICIPATE
• 19:00–20:00: Community dinner (remember to click ‘Attend’ on the Facebook event to secure your meal for the event!)

Our founder Mathias will present our work with strategic foresight, democracy, and participatory methods, and will share concrete examples from his work — along with a light interactive element inviting participants to reflect on when foresight becomes exclusive versus inclusive in practice.

Curious about the future, and how we can make it more collective? We hope to see you there!
