Futures Field Trips

A designed, place-based experience and learning journey where participants explore futures through guided visits, observation, and structured reflection. Instead of talking about change, teams engage with it directly.

What to expect

A curated experience that helps participants feel a future and notice change in the real world, through visits, guided observation, and structured reflection. Immersions can range from half-day cultural safaris to multi-day programs or retreats. The goal is the same: to sharpen attention, surface weak signals, and help teams connect what they observe to strategic questions back home.

What it is

A carefully designed itinerary or experience, observation prompts and sensemaking tools, facilitation throughout, and a synthesis that turns impressions into insight and implications.

What you get

When it fits

Case

An immersive learning journey in sustainability, urban transformation, and futures thinking. Throughout the trip, participants were guided by a set of reflection questions, including how they define sustainability in their own context, what they are most curious to learn, and how to translate observations into practice back home.
