"The future is plural! This was the idea that stayed with me after attending ANTICIPATE’s foresight training in Copenhagen.

Mathias Behn Bjørnhof, a true professional in the field, emphasized that foresight isn’t about predicting the future—it’s about strategic thinking, exploring possible scenarios, and uncovering new perspectives and opportunities.

What I loved most was how practical it felt. Foresight isn’t about grand visions that are interesting to hear but impossible to act on. It’s about mapping the future—looking at megatrends, signals, challenges, and potential paths forward. It’s a key part of strategic planning, both for organizations and for states that want to intelligently plan and shape their vision for the future.

Now that I’ve got this foundation, my next step is to explore how to apply foresight in sustainability communication."
