Strategic Foresight Intern

Internship: Strategic Foresight Consultancy

Full-time | 4–6 months | Copenhagen (2 days/week) + remote | ECTS-eligible

About ANTICIPATE

ANTICIPATE is a strategic foresight consultancy that helps organizations prepare for change and build futures worth moving toward. We work across sectors, from climate and democracy to tech, energy, and innovation, and collaborate with everyone from NGOs and public institutions to Fortune 500 companies.

Our projects explore what is emerging, prototype what could be, and help organizations act on it today.

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, entrepreneurial intern to join us full-time for a 4–6 month internship starting in August 2026. You will work directly with director and futurist Mathias Behn Bjørnhof, along with collaborators, on live foresight projects, research, method development, and business development activities.

The internship is ECTS-eligible and open to current students only.

That said, this is not a traditional internship. You will help shape your own role and work with a high degree of independence, especially since we only work side by side at BLOX in Copenhagen two days per week. The rest of the time, you will work remotely and manage your own schedule, supported by check-ins on Mondays and check-outs on Fridays.

We expect to be running a major strategic foresight project in the pharmaceutical sector, which may become a central focus during the internship. At the same time, you will contribute to developing new ideas, outreach activities, and long-term partnerships.

If you are curious, self-driven, and excited to explore the futures of business, society, and strategy, you are likely to thrive in this role.

What you will be doing

This is a hybrid role spanning foresight research, workshop design, and business development. A typical week might include:

1. Exploring signals and trends

Scouting weak signals and emerging trends across themes such as AI, sustainability, geopolitics, and health.

Synthesizing findings into slides, visual summaries, or client provocations.

Supporting insight generation for reports, talks, and strategy sessions.

2. Designing workshops and developing methods

Assisting in the development of workshop materials and tools.

Supporting logistics, slide design, and documentation during live sessions.

Testing new formats and helping bring futures tools to life with clients and partners.

3. Community-building, business development, and project management

Supporting outreach for funded foresight initiatives focused on democracy and futures.

Helping grow and engage communities around ANTICIPATE’s work, whether by surfacing collaboration opportunities, mapping potential partners, or shaping public-facing experiments.

Contributing to content and communication, from research summaries and social posts to short decks and visuals.

You are…

A current student at bachelor’s or master’s level within, for example, innovation, futures, design, sustainability, strategy, anthropology, or political science.

Based in Copenhagen or able to travel to Copenhagen two days per week.

Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and eager to contribute in a role with a lot of freedom and responsibility.

A strong communicator with a sharp eye for both writing and visuals.

Curious about the world, with a genuine interest in shaping what comes next.

And critical in your use of AI

You will get to…

Work on live foresight projects with real-world relevance.

Explore your own areas of interest within futures thinking.

Help build and test new tools, formats, and approaches.

Learn by doing and take on real responsibility from day one.

Join a small, dynamic consultancy where ideas can quickly turn into action.
