Strategic Foresight Intern

Internship: Strategic Foresight Consultancy

Full-time | 3–6 months | Copenhagen (2 days/week) + remote | ECTS-eligible

About ANTICIPATE

ANTICIPATE is a strategic foresight consultancy helping organizations prepare for change and build futures worth moving toward. We work across sectors—from climate and democracy to tech, energy, and innovation—and collaborate with everyone from NGOs and the public sector to Fortune 500 companies.

Our projects explore what’s emerging, prototype what could be, and help organizations act on it today.

About the role

We’re looking for a proactive, entrepreneurial intern to join us full-time for a 3–6 month internship in Spring 2026. You’ll work directly with director and futurist Mathias Behn Bjørnhof + collaborators on live foresight projects, research, new tool development, and business development activities.

The internship is ECTS-eligible and open to current students only.

That being said, this is not a traditional internship. You’ll help shape your own role and operate with a high degree of independence, especially since we only work side-by-side at BLOX, Copenhagen two days per week. The rest of the time, you’ll work remotely and manage your own schedule, supported by check-ins on Mondays and check-outs on Fridays.

We’re expecting to run a large strategic foresight project in the pharmaceutical sector during the spring, which may become a key focus. At the same time, you’ll contribute to developing new ideas, outreach activities, and long-term partnerships.

If you’re curious, self-driven, and excited to explore the futures of business, society, and strategy, you’ll thrive in this role.

What you’ll be doing

This is a hybrid role combining foresight research, workshop design, and business development. A typical week might include:

1. Exploring signals and trends

  • Scouting weak signals and emerging trends within themes like AI, sustainability, geopolitics, and health

  • Synthesizing findings into slides, visual summaries, or client provocations

  • Supporting generating insights for reports, talks, or strategy sessions

2. Designing workshops and developing methods

  • Assisting in the development of workshop materials and tools

  • Supporting logistics, slide design, and documentation during live sessions

  • Testing new formats and helping bring futures tools to life with our clients and partners

3. Community-building, business development & project management

  • Supporting outreach for funded foresight initiatives around democracy and futures

  • Helping grow and engage communities around ANTICIPATE’s work, whether that’s by surfacing collaboration opportunities, mapping potential partners, or helping shape public-facing experiments

  • Contributing to content and communication, from research summaries and social media posts to short decks or visuals

You are…

  • A current student (bachelor’s or master’s level) in e.g. innovation, futures, design, sustainability, strategy, anthropology or political science.

  • Based in or able to travel to Copenhagen two days per week

  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and eager to find opportunities to contribute who thrive with freedom

  • A strong communicator with a sharp eye for writing and visuals

  • Curious about the world, with a real passion for shaping what comes next

You’ll get to:

  • Work on live foresight projects with real-world impact

  • Explore your own areas of interest within futures thinking

  • Help build and test new tools, formats, and approaches

  • Learn by doing and get real responsibility from day one

  • Join a small, dynamic agency where your ideas can turn into action quickly

Deadline: Friday November 7th, 2025

Interviews with selected candidates: Online, during the week of November 10–14

This is an unpaid internship. If you’re a student getting ECTS and receiving SU (student allowance), Danish regulations prevent us from offering a salary. But if applicable, we can explore applying for EU funding.

In return for the work you do, you’ll gain practical foresight experience, mentoring, involvement in strategic work, and a chance to help shape future tools, ideas, and partnerships.
