University:Future Festival 2025


The University:Future Festival will return for its fifth edition from 13-15 May 2025, continuing its role as the largest event focused on the (digital) future of academic education. Topics for this year’s event include artificial intelligence (AI), future skills, didactics, and strategic processes. Uis organized in collaboration with Hochschulforum Digitalisierung, Stiftung Innovation in der Hochschullehre, and Stifterverband.

Who is it for?
The festival is open to anyone interested in the future of higher education: university administrators, lecturers, students, education experts, civil society, and policymakers. U

aims to foster a collaborative environment where stakeholders from different areas of academia can exchange ideas, develop solutions, and find actionable steps toward improving education.

Recap of 2024: The 2024 edition featured both online and on-site stages in Berlin, Bochum, Heilbronn, Leipzig, and Nuremberg, accommodating up to 1,000 participants across multiple locations. The festival included over 300 contributions from 600+ speakers, with bilingual sessions held in both German and English. The theme "Tales of Tomorrow" encouraged participants to challenge established future narratives and explore which stories will truly shape the future of education.
