The Oceania Futures Symposium is a community-driven event that invites futurists, foresight practitioners, and those passionate about sustainable futures to come together, share knowledge, and build connections across Oceania. The symposium aims to create a flexible model for futures thinking, adaptable throughout the region and independent of any single association.

Day 1: Grounding in Tradition, Expanding Our Future Horizons

The first day of the symposium immerses participants in the wisdom of Pacifica and First Nations communities. With a focus on youth, land stewardship, and intergenerational responsibility, Day 1 combines cultural connection, experiential learning, and community-building opportunities.

  • Panel on Unique Perspectives: Hear from Pacifica and First Nations leaders on essential themes such as youth empowerment and land stewardship.

  • Reflective Closing Keynote: Synthesize insights from the day and set intentions for Day 2.
